Annual giving is absolutely critical to The Birth Center. Fees and insurance reimbursements cover only about 75 percent of the true cost of care at The Birth Center. As a 501(c)(3) charity, remaining costs must be met through gifts from loyal clients, grandparents and friends. Annual giving supports every area of the Center’s operation, including funding of the Birthship program and other assistance funds, staff support and programming.
Since beginning operations in 1979, The Birth Center has grown to serve many families in the Delaware Valley and has seen the birth of over 6,000 babies. The Birth Center remains steadfast to our mission of providing personalized care for a safe, self-determined childbirth experience and well woman gyn care even with the difficult challenges of high malpractice insurance and low insurance reimbursement rates.
As the oldest continually operational birth center in the United States we need your continued and regular support to sustain the organization and broaden our outreach to serve all women desiring our model of care.
